How to Work It

- Dead Stick – Let it fall slowly and allow the appendages to do the work.

- Bottom Hop – Pop, hop, or drag it across the bottom.

- Twitch/Jerk – Use sharp rod-tip pops followed by a glide-and-settle pause.

- Mid-Column Scope – Work it through the water column around suspended fish to trigger reaction strikes.

Recommended Setup

Pair the Sweetgum with a medium-heavy casting or spinning rod and fluorocarbon line for excellent control and sensitivity.
